ARTICLE SUMMARY: Will County has officially launched a new agenda and meeting management software called “OneMeeting,” aimed at improving transparency and making it easier for the public and officials to access meeting information.

Capital Improvements Committee Meeting Key Points:

  • The system was purchased in October 2023 for $27,000, with an annual subscription cost of $19,000.

  • The new platform provides a cleaner, more intuitive interface for accessing agendas, supporting documents, and archived meetings.

  • County board staff, led by Jackie Rogers, were praised for their extensive work over several months to build and implement the new system.

JOLIET, IL – Will County has streamlined how the public accesses government meetings with the launch of its new “OneMeeting” software platform, which made its debut during this month’s committee meetings.

The new system replaces the county’s previous agenda management software, providing a more modern and user-friendly interface. Residents can now more easily find meeting agendas, download supporting documents, and view archived meeting information through the county’s website.

During Tuesday’s Capital Improvements & IT Committee meeting, the county board’s chief of staff praised the significant effort involved in the transition. “This is a long time in coming,” he said, noting the system was purchased in October 2023 for $27,000. The county pays a $19,000 annual subscription for the service.

He credited board staff member Jackie Rogers for her work over the past several months in building the system “from scratch” and coordinating training for all users.

“It doesn’t seem like a big deal, maybe because it’s so such behind the scenes, but it has consumed a lot of the county board staff’s time,” the chief of staff said.

While meetings from August 2025 forward will be on the new system, materials from July 2025 and earlier will remain accessible on the old platform for the time being.
