Committee Seeks More Detailed Lobbyist Reports

Chair Destinee Ortiz asked that future updates move beyond general news summaries to include concrete information on the lobbyists’ activities, such as which officials they have met with, what progress has been made on specific county agenda items, and what support they need from the board to be more effective. Ethics Ordinance Proposal Under Legal Review
A resolution aimed at strengthening Will County’s ethics ordinance is currently being reviewed by the State’s Attorney’s office. The proposal, submitted by Chair Destinee Ortiz, would place new limits on campaign contributions from “prohibited sources,” such as entities doing business with the county.
