Beecher Powers Past Momence in 13-5 Conference Win

The Beecher varsity baseball team secured a decisive 13-5 victory over Momence on Thursday, utilizing a powerful offensive attack and aggressive baserunning to control the conference matchup.

Beecher’s lineup was relentless, racking up 15 hits and 12 stolen bases throughout the afternoon. Santino Imhof spearheaded the offensive effort, delivering a 3-for-4 performance with four RBIs and two doubles. Noah Hanson and D. Camilleri also provided significant production, each contributing multi-hit games, while Easton Lane led the team with three hits.

The Bobcats surged ahead with a seven-run outburst in the fourth inning, which proved to be the difference-maker. While Momence managed to put runners on base throughout the game—capitalizing on seven walks and five hit-by-pitches—Beecher’s pitching staff, led by Brady Cain, limited the damage. Cain worked five solid innings, allowing only four hits and two earned runs while striking out four to earn the win.

Momence’s offense saw contributions from Liam Madison, who went 2-for-3 with two RBIs, but the Redskins were unable to keep pace with the high-scoring Bobcats.
