BRIEFS: Will County Public Works Projects

County Line Road Resurfacing Contract Awarded: The committee approved a $767,249 contract to Iroquois Paving Corporation for resurfacing County Highway 58 (County Line Road) from N5000 East Road east to State Line Road in County Board District 2.

Shanahan Road Resurfacing Approved: A $372,117 contract was awarded to PT Ferro Construction Company for resurfacing various roadways on Shanahan Road in County Board District 1.

Traffic Signal Agreements with Tinley Park: The committee authorized two intergovernmental agreements with the Village of Tinley Park for maintenance and energy costs of traffic signals at the intersection of 191st Street (County Highway 84) with Panduit Drive and at the eastern entrance to Brookside Marketplace.

Professional Services for Traffic Signal Upgrades: The committee approved a professional services agreement with AOM Technical Services Inc. for design engineering services to upgrade traffic signals on five county highways across seven county board districts.

Oxcart Permit Systems Agreement Updated: An updated agreement with Oxcart Permit Systems LLC for issuing oversize/overweight truck permits was approved. The updated agreement includes a $1 fee increase that will be passed on to applicants, not the county. The online system has been in place since 2018 to automate the permitting process.

New Business Accesses Approved on Laraway Road: The committee granted approvals for two points of ingress and egress for new businesses on Laraway Road (County Highway 74) in County Board District 2.

Speed Zone Established on Renwick Road: The committee authorized the establishment of an altered speed zone along Renwick Road (County Highway 36) in County Board Districts 5 and 9.
