  • All motions for the promotions were passed by unanimous 5-0 roll call votes.

The Beecher Fire Protection District has elevated three of its members to leadership positions, filling crucial roles within the department. During their regular meeting on Thursday, June 26, the district’s Board of Trustees unanimously approved the promotions of Carm Welsh, Marci DuBois, and Bryce Budimir to the rank of Lieutenant/Paramedic.

The appointments followed a standard two-step process in which the board first had to formally approve the final eligibility list for the position. A motion to approve the register, made by Trustee Mike Waterman and seconded by Trustee Bruce Becker, passed with a unanimous 5-0 roll call vote.

With the eligibility list certified, the board proceeded to vote on each candidate’s appointment individually.
The first motion, to appoint Carm Welsh to Lieutenant/Paramedic, was made by Trustee Waterman and seconded by Trustee Lyle Siefker. The second motion, made by Trustee Waterman and seconded by Trustee Dave Kolosh, was to appoint Marci DuBois. The final motion, to appoint Bryce Budimir, was made by Trustee Kolosh and seconded by Trustee Waterman.

All three motions passed unanimously by 5-0 roll call votes, confirming the promotions.

The full board was present for the votes, including District President Margie Cook and Trustees Bruce Becker, Dave Kolosh, Lyle Siefker, and Mike Waterman. The rank of Lieutenant/Paramedic combines supervisory responsibilities with the highest level of pre-hospital emergency medical care, making these positions critical to the district’s daily operations and emergency response capabilities.

The meeting was also attended by Fire Chief Joe Falaschetti, Deputy Chief Mike Heusing, and, via Zoom, attorney John Motylinski and James Howard.
