In Green Garden Township, a special use permit was granted to Maria and Felipe Valladares to operate a landscaping and lawn maintenance business on their 5-acre agricultural property at 9003 W. Stuenkel Road. According to planning documents, the owners received nine letters of support from neighbors, and the Green Garden Township board had no objections to the permit. In Frankfort Township, the board approved two separate requests for ancillary liquor service. The first permit was for Kismet Restaurant, located at 7805 W. Lincoln Highway. The second was for Dimitri Best Food Frankfort, operating in the Harlem Crossings subdivision at 19866 S. Harlem Avenue. For both establishments, the special use permit is a required step for obtaining a liquor license, which is necessary to offer video gaming.
