Report: Suspect pictured with Pritzker

Less than a week before a smash-and-grab burglary led to a fatal wreck on Chicago’s Magnificent Mile, one of the men now charged with the murder of another driver donned a “peacekeeper” uniform and posed for a picture with Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker, according to CWB Chicago.

The report said that Kellen McMiller, 35, had outstanding warrants in four states while standing next to the governor.

Mark Arceta, 40, of Skokie was killed in the Sept. 11 crash following the burglary of a Louis Vuitton store on Michigan Avenue.

More immigration arrests

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security says Immigration and Customs Enforcement has arrested a Mexican national convicted of murder in Illinois.

DHS announced the arrest of Aldo Salazar-Bahena on Wednesday.

Other noncitizen migrants have been arrested during Operation Midway Blitz for aggravated sexual assault of a child, criminal sexual abuse of a child, armed robbery, domestic battery and vehicular burglary.
