BEECHER, IL – To better manage its local court system, the Village of Beecher has officially established a new Adjudication Clerk position. The Village Board approved an ordinance on September 22 that amends the municipal code to formally define the role and its responsibilities within the village’s administrative adjudication system.

The Adjudication Clerk will handle the day-to-day operations of the village’s process for hearing cases on local ordinance violations, such as parking tickets and traffic infractions.

According to the ordinance, the clerk’s duties will include maintaining physical and electronic case files, establishing hearing dates, sending notices to all parties, answering public inquiries, recording and accepting payment for fines, and maintaining the status of pending cases.
