Beecher Public Library District Meeting | September 16, 2025

The Beecher Public Library District board saw a significant leadership change at its Tuesday, September 16, 2025, meeting, electing Douglas Short as president and Rick Kerber as secretary. The vote followed the acceptance of Trustee Shirley Biery’s resignation, who will be honored at an open house on October 19. Bills Approved
The board reviewed and unanimously approved the payment of outstanding bills totaling $25,836.73. The motion also included approval for any additional bills that arrive before October 1, 2025, ensuring timely payment.

Front Door Project Tabled
A planned update on the library’s front door was tabled during the old business portion of the meeting. The project, which has been discussed at previous meetings, will be revisited at a future date.

Beecher Schools Administrator to be Featured in Magazine
In a report on school-related matters, it was noted that Dr. Gaham will be interviewed for Education Magazine in recognition of Beecher School District 200U being named a “10 more admired school district.”
