BEECHER, IL – The Beecher Board of Education on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, approved several key contracts to address facility upgrades and pressing operational needs, including the final phase of a door replacement project at the high school.

The board unanimously approved a proposal from C-Craft for $26,473.51 to replace the last six classroom doors in the main hallway of Beecher High School. Superintendent Dr. Jack Gaham explained that this completes a multi-year effort to upgrade all hallway doors to a more secure and modern standard. The work is scheduled to be completed during the upcoming winter break.

In response to recent staff resignations, the board also approved a proposal from City-Wide to provide janitorial services for the junior high building. The contract will cost $4,853.50 per month and is intended to fill the gap created by two custodian resignations until permanent staff can be hired. “We needed to engage with City-Wide to clean the junior high building because we are now understaffed,” explained Board President Ashley Belt.

Additionally, the board approved the N Lange Proposal for district-wide snow removal for the upcoming winter season.

In other financial business, the board approved a three-year contract renewal for the CLEAR Residency System for a total of $3,086.64. The online system is used to verify student residency and streamline the registration process for families and office staff.
