Village of Beecher Meeting | November 24, 2025

The Beecher Village Board met on Monday, November 24, 2025, to address routine financial business and discuss seasonal community issues. While much of the meeting focused on upcoming holiday events and smoke complaints, the board also handled necessary administrative appointments and financial approvals.

The board reviewed the 2025 property tax levy, though no vote was taken. The levy discussion was referred to the Finance and Administration Committee for further review. Trustee Todd Kraus stated that a recommendation regarding the levy is expected to be presented to the full board by the next meeting.

IMRF Agent Appointed: The board voted 5-0 to approve Resolution 2025-09, appointing Village Treasurer Donna Lippelt as the new authorized agent for the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF). This administrative change ensures continued management of village employee retirement benefits.

Bills and Payroll Approved: Trustees authorized the payment of bills and payroll totaling $65,411.29. The motion was made by Trustee Todd Kraus and approved by a unanimous 5-0 vote of members present.

Planning and Zoning Schedule: Trustee Roger Stacey announced that the next Planning and Zoning Commission (PZC) meeting is scheduled for Thursday, December 18, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. at the Beecher Village Hall.

Executive Session: The board adjourned to an executive session at the end of the meeting to discuss matters of personnel and updates regarding collective bargaining and litigation. No action was taken immediately following the closed session.
