Beecher Fire Protection District Meeting | December 18, 2025
The Beecher Fire Protection District Board of Trustees met on Thursday, December 18, 2025, to close out the year’s business. The meeting was highlighted by the passage of a new ordinance charging fees for excessive lift assists and several personnel-related financial approvals. All five trustees—Bruce Becker, Margie Cook, Dave Kolosh, Lyle Siefker, and Mike Waterman—were present.
New Brush Truck Delivery:
Deputy Chief Mike Heusing announced that the district’s new brush truck is expected to be delivered in late February or early March. He also reported that vehicle and equipment maintenance is ongoing.
Mental Health Program:
Assistant Fire Chief Tim McGannon provided an update on the department’s mental health program and follow-ups related to community support.
Financial Reports Approved:
The board unanimously approved the treasurer’s report for November, including bank reconciliations and investment reports. Bills for December were also authorized for payment.
Closed Session:
The board entered a closed session at 6:03 p.m. regarding personnel and contract matters. They returned to open session at 7:00 p.m. with no action immediately taken, though several votes on new business followed shortly after.
