The Will County Board Land Use and Development Committee on Tuesday, April 2, 2026, unanimously approved a third extension for a special use permit that allows rural events and ancillary liquor service at a Green Garden Township farm.
The property, owned by Bengston Land Management, LLC and operating as The Wildflower Farm, LLC, is located at 11332 West Dralle Road in Monee (PIN # 18-13-07-400-004-0000).
The original special use permit, Zoning Case ZC-22-050, was approved by the Will County Board on March 16, 2023, with seven operational conditions. The zoning ordinance allows applicants to request up to four 180-day extensions for good cause if building or site development has not yet commenced.
According to Development Services Director Brian Radner, the applicant has been actively working through the county’s site development and building permit processes. The owner has successfully obtained a liquor license and initiated the special use permit for ancillary liquor, but requires additional time to finalize the structural and site compliance steps.
“They’ve applied for a site development permit and some building permits, and there’s still a few items in there that need to be resolved,” Radner told the committee. “We’re hopeful that this will be the last continuance.”
The committee approved the extension via a previous roll call vote without objection. The approval pushes the expiration date of the special use permit to September 7, 2026. The matter will advance to the full Will County Board for final authorization.
