Beecher Fire Protection District Meeting | February 26, 2026
The Beecher Fire Protection District Board of Trustees met on Thursday, February 26, 2026, to address facility maintenance and hear operational reports from department chiefs. In addition to approving emergency structural repairs for the fire station, the board managed routine administrative duties, including the disposal of old equipment and the review of the district’s annual report. District President Margie Cook, Trustee Dave Kolosh, and Trustee Mike Waterman were present, while Trustees Bruce Becker and Lyle Siefker were absent.
Surplus IT Equipment:
The board voted unanimously to declare a batch of decommissioned IT equipment as surplus. Trustee Mike Waterman made the motion, which was seconded by Trustee Dave Kolosh, allowing the district to formally dispose of or repurpose the outdated technology.
Annual Report and Insurance:
District officials formally presented the 2025 Annual Report to the Board of Trustees. Additionally, the board tabled discussions regarding the 2026 Health Insurance Renewal, opting to review the matter further at the next regular meeting scheduled for March 26.
Golf Outing Donation Request:
The board reviewed a donation request submitted by the Chloe’s Crew Golf Outing. Trustees opted not to make a donation from the district at this time, but agreed to forward the request to the fire association for potential consideration.
Annual Employee Dinner:
The district announced that the Annual Employee Appreciation Dinner is scheduled for March 9, recognizing the efforts and service of the department’s personnel.
