The Will County Board on Thursday, April 16, 2026, unanimously approved a third extension for a special use permit allowing rural events at The Wildflower Farm in Green Garden Township.

Resolution 26-107 (SEXT-26-010) extends the permit for Bengston Land Management, LLC, for an additional 180 days, pushing the expiration date to September 7, 2026. The property, located at 11332 West Dralle Road in Monee, was originally granted the special use permit (ZC-22-050) on March 16, 2023.

According to memos from Development Services Director Brian Radner, the original permit approved rural events under seven strict conditions, alongside an ancillary liquor service permit. Since the initial approval, the property owners have secured their liquor license and have been navigating the county’s site development and building permit processes.

The Will County Zoning Ordinance allows special use permits to be extended for good cause on up to four separate occasions, by up to 180 days each. The Land Use & Development Committee previously reviewed the request and recommended approval in a 5-0 vote.
