Beecher’s varsity softball team put on an offensive clinic Thursday, overwhelming Momence 15-0 in a conference road matchup. The Bobcats tallied 17 hits in a game shortened to three innings, fueled by a relentless approach at the plate.

Beecher wasted no time taking control, posting six runs in the first inning and adding seven more in the second to put the game out of reach early. A two-run third inning provided the final margin.

Maddy Grooms paced the Beecher attack with a perfect 3-for-3 performance, including three RBIs. M. Johnson also had a standout day at the plate, going 3-for-3 with two RBIs and a triple, while Elena Kvasnicka contributed a home run.

In the circle, Carmela Irwin was dominant for the Bobcats, tossing a complete-game two-hit shutout while striking out eight batters in three innings of work. The Beecher defense remained flawless behind her, committing no errors in the field.
