Video gaming is providing a growing stream of revenue for the Village of Beecher, according to a recent data analysis shared during the Village Board meeting on Monday, April 27, 2026.

The Village Clerk provided the Board with a localized research report tracking monthly gaming revenues from 2024 through the first quarter of 2026. The data revealed a clear upward trajectory, disproving the common assumption that adding new gaming locations merely redistributes existing local spending.

In 2024, the Village averaged about $7,900 a month in gaming revenue. By 2025, following the opening of the new Gold Vault location in February and Elsie’s in December, the monthly average climbed to nearly $9,000.

The growth has accelerated further in the current calendar year. For the first three months of 2026, the Village averaged $10,300 per month. The Clerk noted that February’s official tally of $9,498 included a $2,930 “prior period adjustment” deduction by the Illinois Gaming Board. The adjustment was unspecified, but even with the deduction, the overall revenue trend remains strong.

When breaking down the numbers by establishment, the Clerk highlighted that Lacy’s has consistently maintained the highest gaming revenue in the Village over the last few years. Meanwhile, Elsie’s has firmly established itself in the number two spot every month since it opened its doors.
