BEECHER — The Beecher Village Board on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, awarded a $37,444 bid to Jabaay’s Door Store & Windows for the replacement of 13 windows at Village Hall, approving the contract on a unanimous 6-0 vote.

Trustee Brian Diachenko, who chairs the Public Buildings and Properties Committee, made the motion to award the work to Jabaay’s as the lowest responsible bidder. Diachenko said the village received five bids for the project and that copies of all of them were included in the board’s packet for review. Trustee Roger Stacey seconded the motion.

The board approved the award without debate. All six trustees present — Joe Tieri, Jessica Smith, Todd Kraus, Diachenko, Stacey and Erik Gardner — voted in favor. President Marcy Meyer presided.

The windows are located at the Beecher Village Hall, 625 Dixie Highway, which also houses the village’s administrative offices and serves as the meeting site for the President and Board of Trustees. The agenda listed the award under the Public Buildings and Properties Committee, the panel responsible for maintenance of village-owned facilities.

The competitive bid process, which drew five proposals, is standard practice for capital maintenance work of this size. No board member raised questions about the scope of the project or the selected vendor during the meeting.
