BEECHER — The Beecher Village Board on Monday, June 8, 2026, approved a $38,300.12 payment to a business under a 2023 economic incentive agreement, returning three-quarters of the property taxes the village collected last year from a parcel in the Illiana Crossroads Business Park.

Trustee Jessica Smith, chair of the Economic Development and Community Events Committee, presented the motion to approve the payment to Cecich & Son Enterprises LLC. The amount represents 75% of the real property taxes received by the village from the property at 615 W. Church Road, identified in the agenda as Lot 26 in the Illiana Crossroads Business Park, within Beecher TIF District 1 for tax year 2025, payable in 2026.

The payment is tied to an economic incentive agreement dated June 26, 2023. Under such agreements, a municipality returns a share of the property taxes it collects from a site to encourage development or business investment. The board approved the payment in a unanimous roll call.
